Pre-School Kids Church Leader

The role

This is a paid position within our Kids Church team, leading our pre-schoolers (ages 2–5) during Sunday services in term time (9:00am–12:00pm). You’ll be working independently, caring for a small group of children, which means you’ll need the confidence and maturity to supervise, engage and manage the space on your own. That said, you won’t be left on your own — you’ll receive clear guidance and ongoing support from the Kids Church team and church leadership.

Each week you’ll be provided with a simple pre-prepared Bible story, help the kids with a craft activity, and facilitate free play for the rest of the session. You’ll also help set up and pack away the pre-school space, and take a little time beforehand to read through the lesson notes so you’re comfortable with the content.

This is a paid, casual role. Remuneration will be negotiated with the right candidate, reflecting experience and the responsibilities of the position.

About you

You have a growing, mature faith that aligns with TVC’s beliefs and values, and you genuinely enjoy being with young children. You’re warm, patient, reliable and responsible, and you’re confident working independently while also being open to feedback and support. A current Blue Card is required.
