The Winter Lectionary

This year at TVC, we’re experimenting with an annual rhythm that leans into the seasons, marking each with a shared group practice. The theme for Winter is ‘growing’ — a season of personal formation and devotion, with the aim of nourishing our spiritual life.
One of the greatest assets we have in our spiritual growth is one another — the community of faith who ‘spur one another on toward love and good deeds’ (Hebrews 10:24). The Winter Lectionary is designed to keep us connected in a slower season of life, while helping us learn from each other’s experience.
The premise is simple: members of the TVC community have each written a 200-word devotion responding to the prompt, “What is one scripture that has shaped the way you live?” Over the middle of Winter, you’ll receive a devotion in your inbox each weekday morning to carry with you through the day, along with one simple, actionable practice to try.
Over the course of 5 weeks, our prayer is that we will collectively grow in faith and action, shaped by scripture and our shared faith journey.

You will receive your devotions on weekdays beginning Monday June 15.
